Today was an awesome training to kick off Next Gen in person meetings again!! Here's to picking up where we left off in 2020 and building our committee for our local!! I want to thank Brigitte Womer , Brian Callow, & Israel Torres for an amazing, energized, upbeat training that kept everyone engaged and excited to move their committees forward. Thank you to all the members that stepped up and wanted to be a part of this, learn, and be more active in our Union. Excited to see what we can accomplish and learn this year!! Proud to be able to be part of this!!

Your D4 next generation was at it again today in Corning, NY.
Southern Tier Regional Coordinator, Kimberly Kephart requested the District’s level 1 next gen training for locals in the Southern Tier and Central NY areas to attend. With 5 locals and almost 30 participants, todays training was a success!
It was great to have not only new and young members in attendance but we were also joined by some of our senior members looking for more information on their union.
Members spent the day learning about labor history, the union’s structure, mandated committees, networking with other local unions and engaged in several group activities.
A special thank you to USW local 1000 for again hosting D4’s next generation program for
the second day in a row as well as all of the area locals who sent participants to todays training.
In addition, we thank the District Director for his continued support of the program, our co-coordinators for facilitating todays training and of course all of our members who stepped up to come gain some knowledge to take back and share.
