UWST Community Award "Every Drop" 2026

Thursday April 30th the USW Local 1000 United Way Committee was presented with the "2026 Every Drop" Community Award from the United Way of the Southern Tier at their awards dinner. The committee and USW Local 1000 membership impact truly reflects the UWST theme, Every Drop Counts—a powerful reminder that each act of service creates meaningful ripples throughout our community. Thank you to everyone for every part you have played in this from volunteering in events, participating in raffles, pledging through payroll, or by just asking questions, learning, and staying informed.

Thank you Shane MaGill our local president for taking a chance on our committee and sticking through our ideas and seeing our vision even though you maybe scratching your head at times. Thank you Jake Dailey our local VP for helping create the committee with me and attending plant meetings to make sure we had a smooth kickoff in the valley.

Special shout out to the Union Committee Leads who have stood by me, asked the hard questions, and voiced their questions and concerns! You all are amazing!!
