Important Information Regarding Your Prescription Medications

As the coronavirus continues to spread, we understand you may have concerns about accessing prescription medications, especially if you or your loved ones have a chronic or complex condition. We are partnering with CVS Caremark to take steps to protect member access to medication and we encourage you to refill maintenance medications with a 90-day supply or up to the plan maximum.

We understand it may be more challenging to see your physician due to decreased availability of appointments or personal concern over exposure. In order to prevent gaps, CVS Health is extending many prior authorization records set to expire between March 23 and June 30 for 90 days. However, CVS will not be extending prior authorizations on controlled substances.

CVS Pharmacy has also agreed to waive charges for home delivery of prescription medications. This option can help you avoid going to the pharmacy for refills or new maintenance prescriptions. (*Controlled substances and medications that require refrigeration cannot be delivered to your home at this time.)

If you need to obtain a Prior Authorization your doctor may do so by calling 1-800-294-5979. For general questions or to refill your prescriptions please visit https://www.cvs.com/

We will continue to keep you updated as new information becomes available.
