Since the beginning of the COVID-19 crisis, we have witnessed many ups and downs. As we continue to emerge from under the weight of this pandemic, we must be diligent in our efforts for a safe and healthy environment, not only here but at home as well. We are slowly starting to see positive signs for our plant. Several of our Brothers and Sisters are being recalled and the Company will be implementing interim incentive plans in areas having outages in the near future. If you have questions about the temporary plan which will be used during your outage, please contact your Grievance Committeeman.

In an effort to gauge demand, we reached out to local automotive dealers in the region.  We are happy to report good news. Several dealers are currently experiencing record breaking sales. We hope this translates into orders for us sooner rather than later.

Career Development is planning on re-starting classes the beginning of July. They are putting together a schedule of classes and ordering what is necessary to properly follow the state and CDC guidelines for a safe and successful start-up. They will also be contacting participants who have have missed classes to reschedule where possible.

Indiana Surgical Associates (ISA) is now taking appointments for Wellness exams. At this time exams will be done by appointment only at 2 locations. Wednesday appointments will be conducted at the Merrillville Office located at 101 E 87th Ave., Suite 420 and Friday appointments at the Michigan City office located at 3500 Franciscan Way, Suite 3A. Anyone making an appointment will be asked screening questions regarding COVID-19 and masks are mandated at your visit. After your visit you will need to call (219) 940-5377 upon leaving the office to complete the screening portion of your visit. This MUST be done to finalize your wellness screening. To schedule an appointment please call (219) 940-5374. Please remember if you are married, both you and your spouse must obtain a wellness exam to receive the benefit.
