There is a chance you may experience mild side effects after taking the COVID-19 vaccine. This is a normal part of the process and simply means the vaccine is working. Some of the symptoms include:

 Pain, redness or swelling near the shot was given

 Fatigue

 Joint pain

 Chills

 Headache

 Fever

It is recommended that you contact your doctor if you have symptoms that worsen or persist after a couple days.

You do not have to stay home after the vaccine, however, the company will provide up to 2 unpaid days off with no points if they experience symptoms after being vaccinated and need to stay home to recover.

To utilize this unpaid time off post-vaccination, they should contact HR, and:

• The employee must show proof of vaccination

• Symptoms must start within 24 hours of vaccination

• Applies to both vaccinations
