Positive Changes at Briggs & Stratton!

We are proud to announce some positive changes for our Briggs & Stratton Unit. Your Union has reached an agreement with the company for some significant benefits regarding wages and bonus programs.

1)    ARTICLE XIII General, Section 11, 'Employees will be paid on a bi-weekly basis' .

Change:  'Employees will be paid on a weekly basis'

2)    Seasonal Hourly Employee Attendance Program - Milwaukee

Effective May 3, 2021, an attendance bonus for all hourly employees at our Milwaukee facilities.

Plan Details:
Every week, participating hourly employees will be eligible to receive a $125 bonus for perfect attendance. Perfect attendance is defined as:

*On-time and present for all shifts during your work week (Monday through Sunday) including all mandatory and agreed to (i.e., voluntary) overtime
*Company-paid holidays (including Memorial Day and Fourth of July) will not affect perfect attendance
*Appropriately tracking time and attendance in the system, ie. Kronos
*Time and attendance corrections should be communicated to your supervisor timely (same day) prior to the end of your shift.

Eligibility:
To receive the attendance bonus, employees must be a full-time hourly employee of Briggs & Stratton at one of its Milwaukee locations and follow the plan details as listed above.

Payment:
Eligibility will be reviewed weekly, calculations will be processed the Monday following the completed week, and payment will occur aligned to our normal payroll cycle.

This seasonal bonus will run through August  29, 2021. However, Briggs & Stratton may modify, amend or terminate the bonus at any time in its sole discretion.

3) Milwaukee Hourly Referral Bonus

Briggs & Stratton’s Milwaukee locations will be offering a referral reward of $500* to any full-time, active employee who refers an hourly candidate that is hired on and completes 90 days of employment.

Referral Bonus eligibility:
*Candidate can be a new hire, not a rehire or current temporary associate.
*Referral must be provided to HR before the candidate is interviewed.
*Candidate must apply at careers.basco.com to be considered.
*A candidate can only be referred by one employee. If two or more employees refer the same candidate, only the initial referral will receive the reward.
*The HR Manager will manage the final ruling on eligibility.
*Must email [email protected] with the subject as Employee Referral Program. (Include Applicant Name, Phone number, position applied for/interested in).
*You must still be employed with Briggs & Stratton at the time the candidate completes their 90 days to be eligible for the reward.

This referral program will be up for review every six months and renewed based on need.
*Pre-tax and subject to any withholdings required by law.
