STRATTEC COVID ATTENDANCE POLICY UPDATE

COVID-19 ATTENDANCE POLICY UPDATE

After reviewing the CDC guidelines and taking into account the ease and availability of receiving the Covid vaccine at this time, the company and Union are in agreement with the following attendance policy update to the Emergency Pandemic Attendance Policy effective

Tuesday July 6, 2021:

  • Employees will continue to receive up to 3 days of No Point No Pay (1 day on the first shot and 2 days on the second shot) to get vaccinated or to recover if symptoms from the vaccine arise. In order to receive these No Point No Pay days the employee must notify Human Resources prior to receiving the vaccine

  • Employees will no longer receive No Point No Pay for Covid contact quarantine but it shall be considered a single sick incident and the length of quarantine which will follow the current CDC recommended guidelines at the time of quarantine.

  • Employees who contract Covid and provide proof, will still be eligible for No Point No Pay for their quarantine time and may be eligible for ST Disability pay and/or FMLA benefits.

  • Employees who take Covid contact quarantine and then test positive during that quarantine will have their single sick converted into No Point No Pay for their quarantine time and may be eligible for ST Disability pay and/or FMLA. If an employee chooses not to take a Covid test in any circumstance, they will receive their quarantine time as a single sick incident.

The company and Union will continue to meet and discuss the best practices for handling Covid in the work place and keep the health and safety of our employees and members as a priority. The policies enacted in March of 2020 have allowed everyone to remain healthy, safe, and provided clarity during the pandemic. After over a year, we are excited to get closer to normal again. Both the company and Union encourage everyone to get vaccinated to keep yourself and others safe both in and outside of work.
