Aspirus SLH Update ~ Non-Economics Complete
September 04, 2026

Your negotiating committee has wrapped up non-economic bargaining with Aspirus St. Luke’s and is now heading into economic bargaining. Movement from the employer was limited, but we still walked away with real wins.
We eliminated forced binding arbitration. This protects our right to strike and fight for a fair contract – a goal we have push for across multiple contract negotiations.
We held the line on discipline. ASL wanted to extend how long verbal and written warnings stay on your record. We said no, and were able to keep that out of the contract.
We strengthened low-need protections. When competencies and financial rules allow, our members will be scheduled to work instead of being sent home in favor of a traveler.
Several other proposals are still on the table. Rather than settle for less than our members deserve, we’re carrying them into economic bargaining.
Now we need you!
Economic bargaining is where the real fight begins, and we are only as strong as our membership. A fair contract depends on you:
- Back Your Committee: Trust the work being done at the table,
- Stay Informed: We will be providing updates and requests for support,
- Show Up: When we can on you, be there,
- Be Involved: Union actions only work if we all participate.
In the coming weeks, we’ll be asking you to show your solidarity. Watch for union communications, and reach out any time you want more information or want to get more involved in helping us win.
In solidarity,
