Aug. 13 Red Book Negotiations Update

This week we met with Essentia on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with the addition of a federal mediator in the hopes of coming to a final agreement. 

We spent Tuesday morning briefing the mediator on every aspect of our negotiations thus far. We put together an updated counter proposal. Once we gave them our proposal, we were met with a counter including a 0.3% increase on wages and an agreement on our bundle.

Thursday, we delivered another counterproposal in the hopes of making progress. We were able to meet and discuss group life insurance with a HR benefits representative from Essentia. 

Thursday early evening we received a counterproposal with updated shift differential language, and an updated wage offer of Y1: 2.30%, Y2: 2.25%, and Y3: 2.20%  

We have an additional day set for September 3rd, but still remain far apart on our most important issues. 

We will continue to fight for higher raises and more inclusive benefits!
