2. CONTRACT SURVEYS: We want to thank everyone who took the time to fill out the contract surveys. We got a fantastic response, with a record number of Green Book members filling them out. The Negotiating Committee has taken these surveys, and translated them into proposals that we’re now presenting to the company.
3. NEXT NEGOTIATIONS MEETING: Our first negotiations meetings with the company has already taken place. We met on May 5 and May 14. At this early stage, all that has happened is that both sides have presented and had initial discussions on their non-economic proposals for changes to the contract. Once we get through this initial phase, we move on to the economic proposals – dealing with things like wages and benefits. We’ll be posting brief updates after each negotiating session on our facebook page and website. And you can also get updates via our text alerts network.
