Hundreds Turn Out in Support of Red Book Contract Fight

On June 30 our union held an informational picket in front of the St. Mary's Hospital in Duluth.  The goal was to draw attention to contract negotiations for Red Book tech workers, and inform the community that so far Essentia Health has refused to do right by their workers.  Lur running tally for the four hour picket was 250 ~ which was a great turnout! Thank you to everyone who braved the heat and took time out of a work day to come stand with us.

While Essentia has so far refused to do right by their workers, we are confident that by standing up we can and will win a fair contract. Red Book contract negotiations resume on August 11, and we'll be assisted by a Federal Mediator. 

We also want to urge folks to put our next action on your calendar: Thursday, Aug. 6 we will be marching in the Spirit Valley Days Parade. Gather at 59th Ave. W & Grand Ave in west Duluth at 5:30pm to march in support of Red Book and Aspirus tech workers!
