The Most Dangerous Job in America

Nurses and health aides in state-run residential care and nursing facilities experience the highest rates of injury and illness of any occupation, writes Ashley Nerbovig for the Business Times, making these the most dangerous jobs in the U.S.

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, there were 13.7 incidents per 100 workers in 2016. This means that these health care jobs had higher rates of injury and illness than even police officers and firefighters, a distinction they have held since 2012.
