Red Book Negotiations Update From Week 2

Negotiations are continuing, and we are still working through non-economic issues at the bargaining table. Currently, we continue to bargain Essentia’s proposed cross-facility/float language. We are also fighting for more rights when it comes to tuition reimbursement, the grievance process, definitions, and scheduling. While the process has moved slowly, discussion are ongoing and our bargaining team continues to advocate for the priorities identified by the membership.
This week, we also had our first bargaining observer in attendance. We encourage any member interested in observing negotiations to contact the union office for additional information.
Negotiations will pause for one week and resume on May 19.
Beginning May 18, we will begin displaying car signs in support of our bargaining efforts. Signs are available from C.A.T. team member or at the union office down at the Labor Temple (Room 202).
Thank you for your continued solidarity, patience and support throughout this process.
