Below is a list of conferences and trainings that the United Steelworkers are hosting that are available for our members. Contact the office if you have any questions about any of them.
- USW Healthcare Workers Conference: This conference will be held in Pittsburg. It will be from July 22-28 (this includes travel time to and from the conference). The local has voted to send up to 5 members. Let the office know if you are interested by June 16.
- USW District 11 Women of Steel Conference: This conference will be in Billings, Montana. It will be from July 27 to July 30 (this includes travel time to and from the conference). The local has voted to send up to 12 members (preference will be given to members of our Women of Steel committee). Let the office know if you’re interested by May 19.
- District 11 Conference: This conference will be in Billings, Montana. It will be from July 29 to Aug. 3 (this includes travel time to and from the conference). The local has voted to send up to 12 members. To attend you have to be elected as a delegate to represent the local union. We’ll be nominating and voting on delegates at our May 16 monthly membership meeting.
- Rapid Response/Legislative Conference: This conference will be in Washington D.C. It will be from June 11-14. The local voted to send up to 7 members (preference will be given to members of our Rapid Response/Legislative committee). Let the office know if you’re interested by May 1.
- Rutger’s Leadership Training: This training takes place in Deerwood, MN from Sept. 10-15. The local has voted to send all of the members who are currently working their way through this four year program, as well as to send up to 5 new members. Let the office know if you are interested by June 16.
