At the Local 9460 membership meeting last week our union voted to send anyone from our local Women of Steel committee, plus up to 2 non-committee members who are interested in joining, to the following events in Gwinner ND and Pittsburgh PA:
-The next District WOS meeting will be on Friday, Sept. 29 at USW Local 560's office in Gwinner, North Dakota. The meeting will be from 9am to 3pm. The recommended hotel for folks attending is the Lisbon Inn. Our local voted to cover the lost time, travel, hotel and other customary expenses for anyone attending.
-There will be an International WOS conference in Pittsburgh from Oct. 23-26 under the theme of "Women of Steel - Know Your Power". The recommended hotel for folks attending is Wyndam. Our local voted to cover the lost time, travel, hotel and other customary expenses for anyone attending.
