Vacancy for the Local Union Vice President

Our Local Union President, Lindajean Thompson is stepping down for family reasons.  As a result our current Vice President, Sue Wagner-Thomas, will become our new president.  This will be going into effect in mid-June.  That means that the role of Vice President will become vacant.  If you are interested in applying for that position, you can email our office at usw9460@gmail.com.  You have to be a member of Local 9460 to apply.  The vacancy is for the remainder of the VP’s term, which lasts until our next scheduled officer elections in 2027 (at which point you could run if you so choose). The position entails taking a leave of absence from your current employer, and coming to work full time at the union office.  Your pay remains tied to the position you would be taking a leave from (and your raises also remain tied to that of the contract that covers the position you’re on leave from).  Let us know if you have any questions.  We are asking folks to let us know if you’re interested before June 16, 2025.
