College Scholarships From the Union

We are happy to announce that we once again have two scholarship opportunities for our members.  One is the long standing A.F. Kojetinsky scholarship program that is offered by District 11 of the Steelworkers.  The other is a scholarship program that our own local union has set up just for the children of Local 9460 members.

USW District 11/AF Kojetinsky: There are two scholarships that are part of the A. F. Kojetinsky scholarship program.  One is the Vocational/Career Education Scholarship that is for $2,600 a year.   And the other is the Memorial Scholarship for students looking to get a four year degree, which is for $5,200 a year.  To download the applications and instructions, click on the PDF link here:

USW Local 9460: Our local union, likewise is offering scholarships for technical/community college and for four year degrees.  Our scholarships are just for one year, but applicants can apply every year.  We are offering three $500 scholarships for tech school/community college, five $500 scholarships for students attending grad school or university on a part-time basis, and six $1,000 scholarships for students attending grad school or university on a full time basis.  To download the applications and instructions, click on the PDF link here:
