Members of Local 9265 are the backbone of the New York State Public Employees Federation! We are field representatives, communications staff, health and safety specialists, organizers - the people you call when you face layoff or firing, have problems with benefits; face charges or interrogations; have questions about your rights; or want to know about PEF events, actions or programs.

Labor Day Celebration Sept. 1

​The Michael L. Burns Labor Day Celebration will be from noon to 4 p.m. Sept. 1 at Lanthier's Grove, 4 Dunsbach Ferry Road, Latham. There will be hot dogs, hamburgers, sausage and peppers, raw and steamed clams, drinks and more. Activities will include a rock wall, video truck, inflatable games, a bounce house for the kids, horseshoes, volleyball and more! ​For more information, contact Mark Emanatian, memanatian@cdalf.org. The event is sponsored by the Capital District Area Labor Federation Labor Day Parade Committee and the Greater Capital Region Building and Construction Trades.

Restore Collective Bargaining for Federal Workers

On March 27, the President signed an executive order that eliminates collective bargaining rights for nearly a million of federal workers. The executive order represents a sweeping attempt to dismantle union representation and worker protections. Federal sector unions are challenging the order legally, while Representatives Jared Golden (ME) and Brian Fitzpatrick (PA) introduced H.R. 2550, the bipartisan Protect America’s Workforce Act to reverse the order.
