2011 – 2015 Collective Bargaining Agreement
The 2011 – 2015 Collective Bargaining Agreement between USW Local 9265 and the NYS Public Employees Federation was ratified by both parties. A printed copy of the agreement will be sent to all members. You can also download a PDF version from the Contracts page.
Thanks to all of our members who demonstrated to PEF that we were unified throughout the lengthy negotiations process. Our solidarity made the difference.

Ariyanna’s Fight
A family I have known for a very long time is going through a major battle and a mother’s worse nightmare. Single mother Victoria Myers of Lowville, N.Y. has two beautiful twin daughters Ariyanna and Veronica Mark, age 6. In March of 2015, Ariyanna began complaining of back pain, only to later discover that she has Ewing’s Sarcoma which is primary bone cancer that affects mainly children and adolescents.
During surgery doctors discovered they could not remove the tumor due to its proximity to the spine. The current course of action is radiation and chemotherapy. Because of the intensive treatment schedule, her mother is unable to work. As one can imagine, their medicals bills are piling up and adding additional stress. Community, family and friends are coming together to do whatever we can possible to help this little girl fight. I’m hoping to use the unity of USW to assist this family in need.

Operation Bundle Up!
It looks like the holiday season is ramping up. The United Steelworkers Region 4 Veterans Committee and Women of Steel Central New York Chapter are teaming up for Operation Bundle Up!
Please take a look at the attached file to see what is being taken for donations. If you would like to participate please bring your donations to me in the Albany Field Office. USW Local 9265 will arrange to have the donations sent to Syracuse.
