New COVID Guidelines

The Center for Disease Control (C.D.C.) has issued new guidelines for the current

COVID – 19 conditions. The management at the Strattec Unit has agreed to follow these guidelines.

 

  • If you have COVID - 19, you should isolate for five days. After the first five days, if you don’t have any symptoms, and you haven’t run a fever for over twenty-four hours, then you should wear a mask for the next five days to minimize the risk of infecting others.
  • If you are exposed to someone who has COVID -19:
    • and you are unvaccinated, or it has been more than six months since your last vaccination, and have not had your booster shot, you should isolate for five days, followed by wearing a mask for five more days.
    • and you are vaccinated, and have had your booster shot, you do not need to isolate, but you should wear a mask for ten days after being exposed.
    • Anyone who is exposed should get tested five days after they were exposed.
    • If you have any symptoms, you should immediately isolate until a negative test confirms that your symptoms are not due to COVID – 19.

Strattec COVID-19 Update 6/19 - SHORT UPDATE

A few members will be called back to work for Monday June 22nd, roughly 6-10. Make sure that you keep an eye out on your email and phone. The company said they plan to keep this staffing level until July 6th with the exception of adding a few people where issues may arise. As of now, on July 6th the company will be looking to add more members back on all shifts.

MEMBERSHIP MEETING POSTPONED

The riginal meeting scheduled for May 17th and then June 14th has been postponed again due to safety concerns and meeting hall availability. The Local is looking into the ability to host virtual meetings for the size we need or other meeting halls that can safely accomidate our needs. We will continue to update the membership when the meeting can be held.

Strattec COVID-19 Update 5/14

The company will be looking for a handful of volunteers (4-8 total as of this morning) for the week of 5/18 but the larger recall for our members was pushed out another week and won't take place until Tuesday 5/26 (Monday 5/25 is Memorial Day). With Mexico operations resuming the week of 5/18, this new date seems to be the final delay before the company starts ramping up production eventually getting back to full force.
