On, Saturday June 11th 2022 USW 9187 took to the streets of downtown Canton to participate in the innagural Stark Pride. The event was one of the largest events held in downtown in many years. USW 9187 was a Bronze Level Sponser for this inagural event and had a  community both set up where members of the community could receive a made with pride wristband, get pictures in our phito both and learn about Unions and LGBTQ+ protections in the workplace. Our booth was a hit. Many times throughout the day we had lines of people waiting to get into the tent. Steelworkers and their families stoped by and gave words of encouragment and thanked our Local for participating in the event. The volonteers from the Union look forward to participating in this event again in some way next year.  A huge thank you to Melissa Thorne, Brandy Cramer, Sephanie Lupfer & Family, John Ditto, Hannah McCartney, Tyara Webb and Andrew Reed &Nick Dahl for their assistance with the event on behalf of our Local.
