Recent News

The Green Book Negotiating Committee goes back to the table this Wednesday. Thank you to everyone who turned out for our recent community actions, but lets keep the pressure on! Between now and when negotiations start back up we are asking everyone to call Essentia CEO David Herman. Tell him that Green Book workers deserve a fair contract! His office number is (218) 786-3162.

Essentia Health is saying that the Radiology departments in Proctor and Lakewalk aren't getting enough business, and the equipment at those sites is too old. So they announced that they want to create a new hybrid Lab/Rad position that existing workers would be pushed into. We have heard a LOT of concerns from our members who are currently Rad Techs and Lab workers. So the union has sent the company a formal request to cease and desist, and we have demanded that they sit down and bargain with us since this will dramatically effect the working conditions of our members. We have also sent in formal information requests, since there are a lot of unanswered questions about all of this.

Congrats to the Support Staff unit at Lake Superior Community Health Center who voted yesterday to ratify their new contract! Thank you to everyone who turned out to vote, and thank you to the Negotiating Committee for their hard work.

A tentative agreement has been reached for the Support Staff contract at Lake Superior Community Health Center.  The vote will be on July 11 from 4-5:30pm.  Duluth members can vote at the Duluth site Conference Room, and Superior members can vote at the Superior site's Oaks Conference Room.
