Good day Brothers and Sisters and Union Family,
We are in our final weeks of negotiations and continuing to meet with the company working to secure the best deal we can from the company.
When the final offer is received, we will be hosting information sessions for presenting the final offer to you.
We would like to share the process for Absentee Ballot Voting for the Final offer.
Process for Absentee Ballot to Vote on Final Offer
The request for an absentee ballot must be made to the USW Local 6166 and must indicate, with clarity, the work assignment/circumstance requiring such member to be more than 80km from a designated polling place and must be received by USW Local 6166 four days or more in advance of the date of the election.
Absentee Ballot to Vote by Phone:
Register for an absentee ballot to vote, via phone, by contacting the USW Local 6166 (1-204-677-1700) 8.00am – 5.00pm, and receive your personalized password. There will be a password generated for you to verify you are the person intended to vote when you call during the vote times. If the password is lost, you will not be able to vote.
When registering for your absentee ballot vote, you can leave an e-mail address to receive a copy of the Final Offer from USW Local 6166 for your review.
If you do not have an e-mail address, you may make special arrangements with USW Local 6166 to receive the Final Offer for you to review.

There is a TOWNHALL MEETING tonight September 4, 2024 at 7:30PM at the Union Hall. If you will be away during the vote the process detailed above.
