Greetings,

Please join the Sudbury and District Labour Council for a labour canvass on Wednesday, October 9th at 5:30 p.m.

Hello Fellow Activists!

With the federal election just around the corner, NDP candidates in our community are in for a fight to the end.  As chair as the Political Action Committee, I'm reaching out to any and all members who can donate some time to help support Beth Mairs and the federal NDP in Sudbury.  I for one am tired of politicians who only show up for cheque presentations and ribbon cuttings.  Beth is ready to put workers first.

Cathy Mulroy was one of the first female employees hired at Inco. This is her story about fighting for respect and equality for women in a male dominated work environment.  Please be sure to drop by the Steel Hall on Sunday to support Cathy and to pick up a book!

My View from the Blackened Rocks

The following message is from your Political Action Committee:

Together with the Sudbury District Labour Council, a protest has been organized on Thursday, Oct 3  at 5 pm. (Outside Verdicciho's Resturant - on public property).  Doug Ford has organized a $600/plate fundraiser for the Conservative Party, and it's time we welcomed Mr. Ford to our community.

The Town Hall Meeting with Jagmeet Singh here at the Steelworkers Hall was very well attended.  See video here.    https://youtu.be/zRupRezOKS4
