The 44th Annual Children's Christmas Party was a huge success this year with lots of happy kids enjoying gifts, snacks and of course, Santa!  

Local 6500 president Nick Larochelle said his own father passed away from lung disease and it’s critical to protect today’s miners from debilitating and deadly illness. “Occupational exposure for diesel particulate in Ontario is way too high,” he said. “Tonight is the start of an important lobbying program to get that number down.”
