We regret to inform our members of the loss of Courtney Smith. Our prayers and thoughts go out to her family and loved ones. Courtney will be missed dearly.

We would like to congratulate all the men and women that made Black Labor Week 2024 possible.

Our hearts go out to the families of Sean Dugan and Jeremy Gilroy. If you knew either Sean or Jeremy, I am positive you'll agree there are no words to describe how much these two men meant to us.

"I'm a so glad to be apart of this year's USW District 10 Rapid Response Congressional Coordinator Training. It's just day 1 and its already been extremely helpful to our local's Rapid Response training program. Please stay tuned for more updates!"

Evan Stresky - Local 9445

Attention Local 9445 Unit Presidents and Officers! Come support our local with a special meeting at the USW International in downtown Pittsburgh. We also need members to help the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank. If you are interested in participating in any of these events or adding content to the 9445 website please contact us via email. In the meantime, please read the attached email from our President Terry Murrell.

We at the 9445 would like to congratulate all those who made Black Labor week 2023 such a great sucess. We would also like to recognize our two 9445 members who made the trip to Gary, Indiana. This year, they showed that community activistism and volunteer work can inspire so many, throughout our communities and the country.

Big shoutout to Terry, Craig, and Evan for volunteering at The Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank! Your donations goes directly to helping and supporting families in need. If anyone is interested in joining us next time, please feel free to ask your units officers.

Big shout out to our union brother Myron Bynum! - Myron will be appearing on the "Black Male Panel Discussion" at this year's Black Labor Week. If you are planning on attending Black Labor Week this year. This event is going to be a great discussion with a lot of great insite into the black labor movement. If you've ever met Myron your sure to realize he is dedicated union supporter, serves as a officer on the 9445 eBoard, volunteers in his local community of McKeesport, and is always willing to lend an ear to his union brothers and sisters.
